Last week's action was entirely one-sided as all bettors went for
the value and slight underdog Dino. The matchup proved to be an
exciting one as both players were battling the felt by the end of the
fourth level with about 500 chips remaining.
When the night's host moved in on one Vaughn Sandman on a flush
draw board only to see him proudly turn over 82o for top pair and hear
a boast about his hand reading skills (a fine read it was), it looked
like the favored Pick might outlast a dwindling Dino. But Dino's
aggressive play on the short stack coupled with another improbable aces
up for Axel allowed him to outlast Pick for the win.
By the way, I'm having trouble figuring out how this guys finds a
way to miss the final table with all those chips. Truly the
Randomizer.
For this week, we'll try something a little different in an effort
to induce some action out of the recalcitrant bettors in the group.
