FS'05 Game 6 Recap
- Three-week TBC drought without a winner
- Three TBC members in the Final Four
- Three wins for the TBC's Jun
Heading into FS05 Game 6, the Too Beacoup Crew had not had a winner in three weeks, something that had not happened in over 4 months. Since the start of the Summer Season all the way through the halfway point of the Fall Season, the TBC has set a pace of winning at least once every other week. However, the last 3 weeks the Cooler, ALternate, and Lo-Lo have been able to keep them out of the winner's circle. Perhaps that is why the TBC put an all out assault on the Final Table, sending three of their own to the Final Four - The Kelvin, Mad Dog, and Jun.
TBC was founded by Richie Rich, who vaulted the status of his crew to the top of the Tour by his recent run of victories; but it was Jun who put them on the map. Jun joined the Tour back in Fall Season '04 Game 10 and he immediately made his presence felt by out-dueling High Noon in the Finals. Almost a year to the date later, he found himself back in the Final Four looking across the table at two of his crew members standing in the way of his 3rd 4SPT win.
Just a week ago we had an all DBC showdown that was missing its leader and 5-time Tour winner, Von Sandman. This week featured an all TBC showdown that was missing its leader and 6-time Tour winner, Richie Rich. The Kelvin, a relative newcomer to the TBC who notched his first victory in only his 3rd 4SPT event, made another strong showing with a 4th place finish. Seattle Slew then busted in 3rd to leave the Mad Dog, another TBC member with a 4SPT win, to battle it out with 2-time winner Jun.
In the Final Showdown, Jun steadily bled Laurent of all his chips. The Mad Dog, with his mad dog style, could not hold off Jun who was able to end the TBC's non-winning streak by holding off his own crew for his 3rd Tour win.
