Those of you who played in last week's game know that instead of tournament directing for 4th Street, Slim took the night off to play in and ultimately win a World Poker Tour corporate freeroll tournament. His prize was an entry in this weekend's WPT Invitational. 400+ people are expected to attend including "celebrities" such as Coolio, Brian Baumgartner from the Office (the chubby guy), Jason Alexander, Camryn Manheim, James Woods and Mimi Rogers squaring off against big name pros such as JC Tran, Joe Pelton, Joe Seebok, Nam Le and Carlos Mortensen. First place gets $100,000 and a seat into the $25,000 buy-in WPT Championship.
Tonight's action starts at 7pm with 40 tables playing down to 3. You can keep track of his progress on Live Updates on WPT.com. His Live Updates team will be tracking Slim's progress (expect his table to have the most accurate chip counts) and he'll even be blogging from the event. Who knows, you might even see him on a webcam interview with Kimberly Lansing.
Wish him luck as he represents for 4th Street!
Good luck, Slim! We're rooting for you and glued to the Live Updates from San Francisco!

Just got home and checked things out. I'm not surprised that Slim appears to be more than holding his own.
When the other players go out do they have to give him their seat cards?

They turn their seat cards into the dealer, who immediately announces it to the TD and turns them in.

One of these days we should get some HORSE going. Maybe tonight if there's enough interest...

Hello everyone, will there be a sanctioned 4SPT game this Thursday 3-13-08? If not I am more then willing to host a game for any and all degenerates that want to play, even Shock G. However, I will expect to take Picks money again as usual!

Will I have a chance to defend my bracket title this year, or are we shutting down all communication from here on out? Slim, where are you? I miss your musk.

I'm open to a pool, but it depends on the which online provider we go with. I like Yahoo! but I think some of the online services count the final game as too many points.
