The prophetic Cooler made the statement before WS III that this season would be the decline of the Westside Degenerates. Turns out he couldn't have been more wrong. On Saturday at the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre III, the Cooler was able to redeem himself by taking home his 6th 4SPT win and his first Major title.
4SPT historical fact: The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre has been won by a member of the Complex Crew in each of its first 3 years. Year 1 - C-Mint, Year 2 - Complex Slim, Year 3 - The Cooler.
It was also the second year in a row that a Saint has taken his Sainthood into the Final Showdown and failed to take home their own bounty. Last year Richie Rich and this year it was Drop It Like It's Hot.
Thanks to Shock G for hosting. He's a Major hosting machine.
Final Table
- Cooler - $280 (+$10 DILIH bounty)
- DILIH - $140 (+$90 Al & Fist bounties)
- Pibb - $60
- Scrubs
- Most ($20 Pick bounty)
- King Richard
- Complex Slim
- Storm
The Rest - Drud
- Fist
- Dave
- Pick
- Will Call
- Machine
- Wou-Tang
- ALternate
- Will Shake
- Shock G
- Factor
- Richie Rich
- First Lady
Congrats Cooler! The combination of your colored shirt and carefree attitude today definitely put you in position to win. Welcome to the TOC!

"It was also the second year in a row that a Saint has taken his Sainthood into the Final Showdown and failed to take home their own bounty."
This, friends, is the essence of the 4SPT. What kind of stat is that? --taken his Sainthood into the Final Showdown--??? Passion runs deep, folks. Get ready for an intense, serious, shenaniganless Spring SeaZ. POY is on the line, Luckbox is locked up and Milesky is a McCutty....

Cooler, you knoe I love ya.

well done cooler, your "just havin fun" attitude paid off at the end like a sunami, inexorably, consuming chips like a vortex, at the end it was a massacre worthy of the event title. Good job

Superb tournament J&J... nice touches you'll only find on 4th Street... endless thanks... Congratulations Cooler!

Well done, Cooler! That was probably the easiest heads-up match you could have hoped for... I mean, playing against the worst player on the tour for the title? You were easily an 8:1 favorite to win. Good to see that the better player won.
BTW, name your price for the phallic t-shirt...

Way to go Cooler! And way to keep the SVDM in the family. Your festive All-Smiles-And-All-In every turn strategy worked great!.

Good evening fellow 4th Streeters. I would like to take this time to apologize to everyone at yesterday's game for my incredibly bad judgement and drunken behavior. I know that it's not unusual for someone to have a little too much at the game but I feel like I went over the line yesterday and I'm sorry. Little by little I'm piecing the day together and I'm not liking what I see, I was epicly intoxicated and that's not the kind of person I want to be. I promise that you won't see me like that again. I have too much respect for Jenn, Jeff and everyone in the game to be so irresponsible. Furthermore if anyone ever sees me go near the Bushmills again, please kick my ass.
Congrats cooler and everyone who took a saint down. I don't remember any of it but it looks like it was a great game.
Again, my apologies to all.

Rule of thumb: if the Degenerates say you've had too much to drink, you've probably drank too much

funniest (and truest) line of the year from slim.

FYI - There are two units available at the Complex (both 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom). Should anyone be looking or know of good people shoot me line.
Posted by: Pibb | Sunday, March 04, 2007 at 22:14
I nominate Richie Rich and ALternate for the two spare units at the Complex.

Congrats Cooler! Perhaps the secret was in the liquid courage that put you over the top. Even though i got knocked out early it was real fun being drunk at noon, felt like i was at SDSU all over again. You are half-way home to your Iphone!!! Congrats!

Any excuse for afternoon drinking is good times. Congrats Cooler.

Richie - offers are welcome

"I nominate Richie Rich and ALternate for the two spare units at the Complex."
Is that right? Hmmmm.
If signing restricted free agents is what it takes to compete with the big boys, I guess the Complex Crew really IS strugglin!
Guess that's what the Yankees feel like - sign a bunch of high-priced free agents yet still come up second (or third, or whatever) to the well-oiled (and well-lubricated) Kings of the Hill.
Shame on you for even considering it. Not to mention you pass over the two highest-scoring players on Tour this year to pick up Richie and Al?!?!
I believe I speak for Mr. Pick when I say you've just sparked the two of us on to run away from the field this season!
As that hooker Julia Roberts once said: "Big mistake....HUGE!"

Don't be upset, little Gerrit. It's just that Mint can spot true pedigree from a mile away. No big deal. Also, Will you were hilarious the other day. You didn't piss anyone off. You're girl came to scoop whatever was left of you up at just the right time, so it's not like you were driving either. Hence, no one was harmed in the making of this major...
