Ivan

Great job, Most! My most sincere congrataboopskies! If you weren't such a sore loser, I'd root for you every week. Wish I could've made it to this one, sounds like it was a fun day.

II-Pod

Congratulations, Eliot, stellar playing. Mere hours after surviving a near-fatal, beer-saving fall you go on to win the championship. Way to keep your eye on the prize!

Shock-G, thank you for hosting. Tournament, side games, multiple football games, kegerator...Shocktown has it all.

will

Congrats Eliot as well as everyone else at the final table. Thanks to Shock G for hosting too.

Richie Rich

Perhaps it was an omen when you fell down those stairs and were still able to keep your beer upright and unspilled. You were down in chips at the final table and were still able to fight back to win it all. As Chad said, you kept your eyes on the prize. Very well done, El Bear.

You played great heads up and chose your spots very wisely at the final table. I predicted I wasn't going to win when we started heads up and I apologize for not putting up a bigger fight. After the trip 8s, I couldn't catch a hand against you! Guess karma kicked in after calling your 4x raise with T8, huh? Haha. Again, congrats!

Storm

Congrats Eliot...that is a pretty disturbing picture. Thanks Shock G for the drinks, eats and cash game action going to 2am. We have serious gambling problems. Good times!!!!

Shock G

If you all want to keep coming here, you gotta let me finish outside the bottom 5. That's twice in a row now!! Shit!!

Can't believe I missed Big E busting himself down the stairs. That would've made blowing my $150 cash game stack a lot easier to handle!!

You da man E. Always said it, but this time I really mean it.

Most

Thanks are due in large part to Shock G for: hosting the event, getting a second keg, arranging the T.V.s for maximum watchability, wearing a Carolina jersey that said simply 'Panthers' on the back, providing numerous refreshments, allowing people to gamble at his place for hours after the event (coincidentally Brent and I took a combined $200+ from that game after the shootout), and just generally creating a vibe that was awesome and by awesome i mean totally sweet. Your place has filled the rather large gap left in Oak Street's absence, and dare I say surpassed it at least as far as maneuverability is concerned.

Thanks also to Richie, as I have waited nearly two years for that match-up, and he did not disappoint.

To Jun as well, who is without rival in the hand-reading department, and was generally just a calming presence for me at the final table, whether he meant to be or not.

Finally, I mustthank the Degenerates, my crew, for simply being a great group of guys who cheer for and console each other at every turn and river.

Jeff and Jen know I love them.

P.S. To Mr. Pick, who left a TOOTHPICK off to the side of Table 1 when we first started, no doubt a symbolic gesture that unfortunately did not come to fruition. Interestingly enough, I threw that toothpick into a trashcan with gusto before play even started, so there you have it.

i would apologize for the obvious egotistical implications of me "thanking" everyone, but what can i say- i'm a prick bastard!
