Name: Eliot Godwin
Nickname (how'd you get it): 'Vicodin Boy'? I got it at Richie Rich's house when I was popping vicodins like gummy bears. It was fun for a few weeks, but I'm kind of hoping to shake it.
Age: 26
Location: Brentwood
Favorite hand to play:
I think the right answer here is
that I don't have a favorite, but AK suited is just so damn beautiful.
Also, I like to get squirrelly with 24 or 35 sometimes.
Favorite pro player:
Howard Lederer, maybe? All class. Can't stand Hellmuth. Just get over it, buddy. I mean, in the end, you're still gambling.
How did you learn about the 4SPT:
Mr. Pick, or Johnny Lightning
When did you join the 4SPT:
A few months ago
Best thing about winning the 4SPT:
It feels good to take down such an organized game, with so many skilled players.
Most
exciting/best hand you've had on the 4SPT:
That would have to be last week's three way showdown between King
Richard, myself, and.....can't remember his name- handlebar moustache
guy? He raised substantially, Richard went all in with QQ, and I nearly
crapped my pants as I was sitting on AA. Of course the moustache man
probably felt the same way as he had AA as well. The funny thing is, I
really didn't expect to win (typical pocket aces anxiety), and I knew I
was finished when i grabbed the two chips in the side pot and said to
Richard "These are mine, right?" The King gave me a look like, "Relax,
red. My queen is coming." And it did. Great hand for him, but I stayed
alive.
4SPT player you don't want sitting next to you
(why):
I guess Richard. He's tough to crack. But I like everyone the same.
Where/how did you learn to play poker:
We had a home game with about twenty guys each week. It was more of a party than anything else.
Any
other interesting stories or whatever else you want people to know:
Lots
of fun- good people. I can't thank Jeff and Jen enough for putting this
thing together each and every week. It's got to be incredibly stressful
sometimes, right? Poker...It's like surfing for lazy people.
"Where/how did you learn to play poker" - I started on line. This game is amazing. Good luck Eliot !!
