4th Street Finale

As the W/SP season and 4th year of the Tour winds to a close so does the lifeblood of this once mighty machine. While this isn't so much a farewell tour as it is more of an announcement that things they are a-changin'. After much deliberation, hesitation, and agonization, the First Lady and I have decided that the show can't go on any longer, at least not as currently constructed. The Tour has changed quite a bit since we started this journey way back when and as the players have rotated in and out over the years the one thing you could alway count on was a Thursday night Tour stop. Until recently that is, when life got in the way of what has turned out to be quite a grind. Physically, mentally, and emotionally, it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with the demands that properly running 4th St takes, and even though we've built a system that almost runs itself, we just don't feel like we can keep up any longer.

Now I did say there would be changes and those changes work out to something like this. While we won't be doing the Thursday night game anymore, the 4SPT will live on in some form or another. More than likely we will move to a once-a-month-on-the-weekend type of schedule, although there will be no guarantee that we will run something every month. Higher buy-ins and better structures may also be a part of that plan but gone are the days of having your heart broken every single f-ing week by some random turn or river card.

I'm sure this isn't a surprise to many of you as I will be the first to admit that my attention hasn't really been what you guys deserve. But that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate everyone's support over the years. You've all been there when we needed it and most have been willing to help out whenever they could.

It's with great sadness that we must end this chapter of the Tour (where is C-Mint with a speech when we need him) but we won't be closing the book.

Oh yea there is a game this week. Thursday night 8pm at the Castle.
